Women's Conference Workshops

As we reflect on three decades of impact, we are thrilled to announce our 2025 Women’s Conference, themed "Reflecting Our Past, Shaping Our Future" an unforgettable anniversary event celebrating resilience, achievement, and forward-looking inspiration and workshops to match! Our workshops feature dynamic speakers, engaging content and practical wisdom for growth for both youth and adults. We'll have three different sessions to attend and afterwards enjoy a magnificent fashion show by celebrity fashion designer Liz Russell.

Language Legacy: Who Do YOU Say WE Are?

Examines the impact of symbol/language systems on personal and group identity. Participants will be introduced to the concept of Language Legacy as a “root cause and perpetuator” of personal and collective identity and behavior.  The workshop will provide tools to diminish the impact of  mental residue (thoughts/words)  filled with self doubt, historical ridicule, negative thinking...passed down generation to generation. Learning to self monitor and perception check will support the replacement of old patterns of thinking for the RE-NEW-ALL!

RELAX: Your search for a new hobby is over! Let's learn CALLIGRAPHY and LETTERING!!

This workshop is for those who are new to calligraphy and lettering. You'll learn the different types of calligraphy and the basic materials needed to start i.e. pens, paper, strokes, pen pressure as we begin to practice the formation of making letters. The benefits of calligraphy are its relaxation properties and the calm you experience while practicing letter formation. You'll also learn the many free & non free resources to assist you in your growth. It takes 5-10 minutes a day to grow in the practice of calligraphy. Practice, practice, practice.

As a content expert, she  will provide interactive sessions, allowing participants to engage in meaningful conversations and activities aimed at breaking down barriers while fostering healing and building sustainable networks of support.This workshop offers a safe space to explore and strengthen mental health practices that celebrates multigenerational identities, stories and experiences while paving the way for lasting wellness and empowerment.

Telling Your Narrative: Empowering Your Voice through Poetry and Theatre
