Whether you're dreaming of leading in media, entrepreneurship, or a creative field, this workshop will equip you with the skills to network your way to success while building collaborative spaces for growth and empowerment.

Miss Destini Perkins, from San Diego, California, is the reigning titleholder of Miss Black Global International Ambassador 2024. With this esteemed platform, she passionately inspires young girls to unlock their confidence, advocate for themselves, pursue their visions, and discover their purpose.As a Creative Director, Destini collaborates with various companies and brands, focusing on photoshoots, branded events, and projects that resonate with Gen Z consumers. She is committed to representing this demographic uniquely and effectively.In her role as an Event Producer, Destini prioritizes women empowerment. Notably, she organized the "Love Your Curls" event in March 2022 at Utah Valley University, which featured live curly hair demonstrations, a panel discussion on diverse curly hair types with women of various ethnic backgrounds, and Black-owned hair businesses as vendors. More recently, she produced the "Know Thyself Divine Woman" a red carpet event, which included a market for female entrepreneurs, rotating workshops on financial literacy, personal development, and spirituality, live performances, and ample networking opportunities. "Know Thyself Divine Woman" received a Certificate of Recognition from California Representative Mike Levin in the 49th congressional district.As an Empowerment Speaker, Destini is dedicated to motivating individuals to recognize their gifts and transform their lives, moving audiences with her invigorating energy. Her leadership experience includes serving as Vice President and Communications Chair for the NAACP Youth & College Division and interning as a Media and Marketing intern for the San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce, where she interviewed Black entrepreneurs, ran the chambers social media pages and created video content.During her senior year of high school, Destini initiated the project "Enlightening the Young Minds of Black History," educating Carlsbad elementary school students on Black trailblazers and their advancement’s throughout Black History Month. She held leadership roles as president of the Black Student Union both in high school and at Utah Valley University, where she received the Champion of Inclusion Award. Her dedication to community service has garnered recognition from various entities, including The California State Legislature, The City of Carlsbad, The California State Assembly, The United States Congress, and County of San Diego.Currently, Destini is a member of Black Girls in Media LLC and a content creator within META’s Dale Tu program, focusing on providing resources for Hispanic and Latino content creators.Destini's impactful work continues to be acknowledged by local and national leaders, solidifying her as a powerful advocate and activist for change and empowerment in her community.
